We're two days past when Punxsutawney Phil made his mid-Winter trek and got the crap scared out of him due to the thousands of onlookers who attended the Punxutawney, PA version of Groundhog Day. Last weekend I predicted - well before - that he'd see his shadow even if it were pouring rain and predict six more weeks of winter.

Of course you'd get an argument out of most of the nation as to whether there's EVEN BEEN six weeks of winter. We are well below normal for natural snowfall... click here for more

What a great way to end the work week! It’s another gorgeous morning across the region and after the last two mornings it is a welcome sight. This morning is just a continuation of some fantastic weather that we saw yesterday. Once the early morning clouds moved out, things cleared up nicely and it was a bluebird day with mild-ish temps. Seldom am I surprised anymore. Those of us who call the High Country home are used to an abundance of unique, eclectic - not to mention delectable dining establishments. However, it isn't every day that you can say that you had one of the more memorable and delicious meals in an old farmhouse that is more than 150 years old.
