Yep. I asked Ric this am. He's gonna be heading up the park ops at Beech!

Stoked on it!

Beech has so much potential to make a big park presence. They've done well so far and with the right staff they definitely could be better than App and really set the standard for the area. App wishes they had the amount of real estate that Beech has.

Def. I didn't even hit Beech this year. However what they did at the end of the season. Pushing up those mounds on Shawnee.
If they did that all season I would ski 1/2 the day on that slope and spend the other 1/2 on the side line w/ hammes watching the carnage.

Beech seems to be in flux rt now. Many changes in the last few years. Love it

I heard a rumor that they plan on having a bike park open next year with bike/gear rentals sorta like Snowshoe does but on a smaller scale. This would be a great source of revenue for them in the off-season. Beech is doing big things.

This is a fantastic concept and will be a great thing. Their downhill & slalom setups are amazing and I can't wait to see how well they continue to expand upon that.

Additionally year round revenue would justify lodging on resort property.

Very glad to see Beech Mountain make use of their property year round.

Now, if they would make the line under the lifts not out of bounds........

Almost got my ticket pulled one day.....got a VIP mark instead

Ski Patrol claimed that the trees on skiers left of the lift line was not BMR's property. Not sure if that is true or not. Would be nice though if they would "allow" people to go through there and the lift line as you mentioned 2slix.

Add some variety for a change!

i have done it before.. the not getting caught when they are sitting at the bottom waiting for a group of us is the hard part. its so odd that out west i have never had an issue with ski patrol telling me to stay out of the trees..

damn you NC nazzis.

Beech is also currently having "the lift is open" for MTBers on various weekends...they're running the lifts with bike trays so the uphill haul is easier. For a price of course, but still.
