Default TR: Hiking in Crested Butte, CO

My wife and I spent the last week in Crested Butte hiking, biking, and enjoying everything else the area has to offer. We did a few "new to us" hikes since it's been a down year for wildflowers, but the scenery was outstanding as always. It's amazing to me that at each of these locations, we were the only ones there despite all the people in town and the fact that we weren't far from civilization. Crested Butte delivers once again.

Copley Lake:

The iconic Crystal Mill:

Dollar Lake, above Lost Lake (off Kebler Pass):

The view over Lost Lake Slough:

Mirror-like reflection at Lost Lake Slough:

Mt. Crested Butte and an old mining shaft from just outside of town:

And finally, the meandering road/trail leading from Crystal up to Schofield Pass:

So freaking awesome.

You're pictures must be about as close as "doing it justice" can come from a picture.

I know it's crazy... but I actually prefer CB in the Summer or Fall. If you can ever make it out here during that time of year, do it.
