Default Hello

Hi all,

My name is Alan and its good to be here.

I grew up skiing in the northeast. Hunter Mt. New York as home.

Having moved south I thought skiing was history .I must say the dedication to snowmaking and elevation makes for some nice ski areas here. In 2010 I started skiing again after a spinal cord injury. I wil always have a place in my heart for CAT, the place I learned to ski the second time.

Had a chance to ski Beech and a few others. I know from time to time folks complain about the quality and quantity of skiing here but it stacks up very well even in comparison to more northern areas.

Yes, they ski in the Carolina's !

Be Big,
AMAC

You alluded to a spinal cord injury...did you use the adaptive program? If so it's very cool that we have an adaptive skier on here.

It's good to meet you regardless don't get me wrong

Hey there and welcome aboard! You have my curiosity about the injury and "second time" learning...would love to hear your story if you'd be willing to share it -- either here or via PM.

That's the great thing about snowboarding...you don't have a field, goals, there is no finish line...anything goes, anything is possible." - Nico Mueller

Sure I'm sure...I'm a windbag too (no comments Josh) and believe there's always something to be learned from everyone's story.
